Western Region User Group (WRUG) was formed on November 30th, 1990, West Coast IDX (now GE Healthcare) users met to share issues about communication, training, and support from IDX and this became the first organizational meeting for the group. As a result of the stirring interest and hard work of its members, and since the West Coast became an IDX service region in 1995. The urgent need for experienced support declined, and the character of WRUG changed towards a mainstream user group.
